A Message from Mrs. Porsch

Fall has officially arrived, and we are so excited for all the fun October has in store! We have loved watching your children settle into their classroom routines, make new friends, and grow more comfortable in their school community. It has been wonderful getting to know each of them!
One of our favorite fall traditions is returning! Quiver Farms will be visiting Penn Wynne Presbyterian School on October 7 during the preschool/kindergarten day. All children are welcome to attend this day, whether or not it is their scheduled day. We can’t wait to see their excitement!
‍

A Few Reminders:

‍
Please send a jacket or sweater each day. The mornings are getting cooler, and we want everyone to stay comfortable while playing and learning outdoors.
Please check with your child’s teacher to make sure they have a complete, seasonally appropriate change of clothes at school.
Please label all belongings. Water bottles, lunch boxes, jackets, sweaters, and other items should be clearly labeled with your child’s name.
Looking ahead, we’ll be sharing more information about our upcoming Halloween Parades later this month.

Enriching Explorers:

Our kindergarten Explorers are learning all about germs... and germs are everywhere! We learned that agar is “germ food” and we collected specimens from all around our classroom.

Each Explorer now has their own Petri dish and cannot wait to see which germs they grow!

We will be learning how to use a microscope to look at different things, including germs, that we cannot see with our eyes alone.

Don’t forget to wash your hands with soap and water. That’s how we stay healthy!
