Children can be enrolled in our preschool program when they are 2 years and 7 months at the beginning of the school year in September.

Rising Stars

Full-Day Pre-K

An enrichment program that combines play with learning. An option for children enrolled in a full Pre-K day.

Explorers

Full-Day Transitional Kindergarten

Our transitional kindergarten program is designed to foster thinking and problem-solving, develop social and physical skills, and instill basic academic skills required to prepare our students for their next chapter.

Preschool & Rising Stars

2 years, 7 Months+

Who can be enrolled in the Preschool Program?

Children can be enrolled in our preschool program when they are 2 years and 7 months at the beginning of the school year in September.

When are the operating hours and days?

The Preschool program is from 9:00-11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday, and runs for approximately 170 days between September and June.

Are there any requirements for my child to join?

Children must be fully potty-trained in order to stay for Lunch Bunch or Latchkey. We do not provide naps. The children in our youngest class are not eligible for our before- and after-school programs.

What does the Preschool Day look like?

An exploration playtime where children self select activities and toys and guide themselves

A craft time to develop and refine motor skills with activities designed to reinforce learning and to explore and create with new materials
‍
An active time in our “Bike Room” with bicycles, balls, and other equipment to develop large motor skills and cooperative play. When weather permits, children will play outdoors in our fenced playground on the play structure, on the grassy areas, or in the sandbox.

Circle time is the setting for language arts. This is an opportunity for the children to listen, to express themselves, and to gain confidence in verbal expression

What are your tuition rates for 2026-2027?

Parents can choose from a 3-day, 4-day, or 5-day program. Children in our PreK classes can choose between 4 and 5 days.

Explorers

Full Day Kindergarten

Who can be enrolled in the Explorers Program?

The Explorers program is designed for children who would benefit from a smaller, more individualized kindergarten experience.

When are the operating hours and days?

Academic hours 9:00am - 3:30pm
Before school care 7:00am - 9:00am
After school care 3:30pm - 6:00pm

Are there any requirements for my child to join?

Children must be five years old by December 15th.

What does the Explorers day look like?

We build upon the basic academic skills recommended by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning, expand them, allowing for investigation and hands on experiences, especially in math, social studies and science. Their days will also include music, Spanish, and organized physical activities.

Before & After Care

3 Years through 5th Grade

Who can be enrolled in the Before & After Care Program?

Our Before & After Care program is for children 3 years old through fourth grade.

When are the operating hours and days?

We provide care from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (before school) and 3:35 to 6:00 p.m. (after school), Monday through Friday.

Care is also available for days included in our "School Closing Package" when the Lower Merion School District is closed. Please see our school calendar for a list of included days.

Are there any requirements for my child to join?

We provide before and after school care for the preschooler four and older, our Explorers, and children from Penn Wynne Elementary School. Our staff walks the children to PWES in the mornings and picks them up in the afternoon at dismissal.

What does the Before & After Care Day look like?

Children select from various activities, including:

SUMMER CAMP

Who can be enrolled in the Summer Camp Program?

Our Summer Camp program is designed for children 2 years, 7 months through Kindergarten.

When are the hours and days of Summer Camp?

Summer Camp operates for 8 weeks rom June 29th through August 20th.

Our Summer Camp program runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We offer extended hours during Summer Camp from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

*Summer Camp does not operate on July 3rd and August 21st*

Are there any requirements for my child to join?

All campers ages 2 years and 7 months through Kindergarten are welcome and encouraged to join us!

Families are expected to enroll through our enrollment page and create a profile for Camp participants through our school management system, Brightwheel.

What does the Summer Camp day look like?

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

What is the school policy regarding foods containing nuts?

Any sharing snack that we give to students is nut free. Children are allowed t bring foods containing nuts in their own lunch or snack that is not being shared with other students.

What is Brightwheel?

Bright wheel is a software platform that our school uses for billing, communication with parents, and collecting applications and forms. Parents are asked to create an account with Brightwheel in order to submit forms, receive invoices, and communicate with our staff.

Parents are able to log in to their account to check their billing and update any information we have on file.

Do you offer an afternoon program for preschoolers?

Our Lunch Bunch program is designed to extend the preschool day. Children can stayuntil 2:00pm or 3:00pm. The children have lunch, free play, large motor skill activitieswith Lil Sports, art and crafts and story times.

What are your class sizes?

Preschool classes have 10 – 12 students with one teacher and at least one assistant. PreK classes have 12-14 students with one teacher and at least one assistant

Do you offer any special classes?

Our Preschoolers and Explorers have music every week. We have Spanish classes and Art lessons twice a month.
